I was a struggling boy when I was dividing my time for education & career. I was preparing for my higher secondary examination and was doing marketing task of some organization. Being from a small village falling under Khandwa district of MP and with a very modest family background, this was a bit difficult for me to excel in my education and professional assignments too. All of a sudden the entire scenario changed when one fine day I came across a young gentleman who approached me and asked me, was I ready for something more challenging and rewarding. I got ready for this not-so-expected opportunity given by the gentleman who was none other than Mr. Sukhdev Gehlot, the managing director of Prem Henna Private Limited.

I joined this organization on August 21, 2007 as SR (sales representative). I was assigned the task for Nimar region of MP. It was that period when company just launched 100 % natural mehandi powder with Prem Henna brand. I served the company for one year and thereafter I was promoted as SO (sales officer) and was given the charge of Gujarat. Here it is worthwhile mentioning that this was the first foray of company in Gujarat. I was also new to Gujarat. Despite of that I established name of company’s products in Gujarat. In my 12 months working in Gujarat, I appointed distributors and organized successful launching of products like Kaveri Mehandi Cone, Kaveri Hair Henna & Nisha Hair Henna. After my hard work and dedication continuously for two years, company further recognized my potential and shouldered the responsibility of North area of country namely Haryana & Punjab. It was again same for me as this territory was also unexplored. Here also I discharged my duties to the entire satisfaction of company. I was particularly instrumental in appointing super stockiest in this region. This was followed by my services at Rajasthan.

In between all these assignments and targets, I also spared time for my graduation. Throughout my graduation, I was greatly assisted by MD, Mr. Gehlot, who never discouraged me and disappointed me whenever I requested him for few days’ leaves for appearing in college examinations. Here also I delivered same results without diluting my efforts and dedication. After Rajasthan, I was again considered fit for Malwa region of MP. In Malwa region, I increased sale of henna powder from 500 bags to 5000 bags.

Looking at my outstanding contribution, I was promoted and deputed for Gwalior & Indore as ASE (area sales executive). It was not an easy task to raise the sale from 50 lacs to 80 lacs in a very short span of six months. Before coming back to Nimar, my 3 months stint at Chattsisgarh was also a big success. Presently I have been working in Nimar region where constant efforts led to a jump in sale from 10 lacs to around 21 lacs.

I am happy to share that my latest promotion is as ASM (area sales manager) for Indore territory.

This all was not possible without the support of my boss and management. Mr. Gehlot is such a humble and caring person that when I requested him to attend my marriage ceremony then he again obliged me by not only attending the event, but also by presenting a very precious gift to me on that occasion. This is not so common that a person of his stature would attend such function of his employee, owing to time constraints, but he did. My message is just deliver your best in the field, someone is always there to recognize and promote your efforts.
